Fiedler & Frías Architects worked on the rehabilitation and expansion of an existing facility in Vega Alta into a distribution center. The project renews two concrete buildings totaling more than 120,000 sq ft, adds a steel-framed warehouse expansion and a covered loading area, and builds a new guardhouse. Site work includes demolition of a disused tank and tower, a new 2,500 kVA electrical substation, truck and vehicle paving, expanded stormwater retention, fire protection with hydrants, and a new water connection to the public utility.
